98% of the time, little Jackson (aka "Hoot") is a super-easy kid to raise. Granted, he's only 11 days old, but that's another story.
The other 2% of the time, however...
Lindsey wants him to stay little forever, but I'm ready for him to grow up because right now he doesn't really like any of the games we play. When we go to do "fun things" like going on walks or going to a store (tonight we went to Home Depot to get less-bright
light bulbs), he falls asleep. Then there's the times he cries for seemingly no reason at all.
BUT, we have good bonding time and I think there's more pictures of Hoot and me than there are of anyone else. This is not to say that I hold him more than anyone, just that Lindsey takes more pictures.
I'm glad that this is the least of my worries. I was pretty frustrated when he was on UV blanket and didn't sleep the first night at home.
For the record,
Becoming Baby Wise has been an amazingly helpful book since we started following it 3 days ago. The hardest part is keeping him awake between feedings and naps (since he doesn't really focus on things or like to stretch or play games or whatever).
I'm glad to be a father. And after a couple days, Jackson is making it really easy.
